As a fan of the original Sweet 16 game, I'm noticing a few updates immediately. The control panel is located at the bottom of the grid and thematically complements the bubbly, shiny and sweet theme the rest of the game features. Players can use the control panel to increase or decrease their bets, along with adjusting the speed the reels spin. You can pull up an information panel or adjust certain aspects of the slot in the settings area, such as the sound effects.

Symbols

All of these symbols are giving me a sugar craving! To start off in Sweet 16 traditionally, the game logo operates as the scatter symbol. In this game, it's depicted as a heart. The scatter is actually quite valuable, and can pay up to 2000 coins when five of these symbols land on the reels. It requires four or more scatters to activate the free game rounds. There is a multiplier symbol, which is shaped like a green gummy bear. This little guy only makes an appearance during free games, though.

Apart from these special symbols, there's a colorful array of candy themed regular symbols. The top paying regular symbol is the chocolate sprinkle ball, which pays out 1000 credits for a match of five. The second highest paying symbol is the candy star which awards 500 credits. There's also a layered square candy that pays out up to 300 credits and a pink swirling candy that pays out 250 credits for five. There are also a plethora of low paying candy symbols. Keep in mind this is a Pays Any game, so all symbols pay anywhere they pop up on the game board. Players can actually win up to 12 of a kind per symbol on this slot!

Special Features

Apart from all of the purchasable special features I briefly mentioned, this game has something called a Cascading Wins feature. That means every spin where you land winning symbols will result in the symbols disappearing from the game grid and the remaining symbols falling from the top into the empty spaces, forming new winning combinations. This could land you extra wins and the cascading can occur multiple times if wins continue to land. The other special feature is the free spins feature, which can be purchased or won via scatter symbols. If you land four scatters, you'll receive ten free spins. During the free game feature, multiplier symbols will appear with a value range of 2x to 100x your bet. The multiplier symbols remain on screen until no more cascading combinations occur, and after every cascade ends the value of all multiplier symbols is added up and multiplied by the total win.
