Desert Raider Slots

Desert Raider slots has 5 reels and 20 paylines, plenty of symbols that fit the Egyptian mythology theme, and generous payouts. Bets are fixed on those 20 paylines, but you'll find the range of options is appealing to all players.

It's possible to win up to 50,000x, and we found it's not that hard to gain substantial payouts as you play as long as you're patient. Here's everything you need to know about the game.

The Paytable

Like many slots, the low-paying symbols are all poker symbols and need three or more matching symbols, and then the rest pay more and require two or more matching combinations on the payline.

  • 9 and 10 - 5, 20, and 100 coins
  • Jack - 5, 25, or 150 coins
  • Queen - 8, 30, or 200 coins
  • King - 10, 40, or 250 coins
  • Ace - 15, 50, or 275 coins
  • Eye of Horus - 2, 20, 60, or 300 coins
  • Ankh - 3, 25, 75, or 450 coins
  • Anubis - 5, 30, 100, or 750 coins
  • Scarab - 5, 40, 400, or 2,000 coins
  • Desert Raider Wild - 10, 100, 1,000, or 5,000 coins

The Book scatter pays 10x, 50x, or 200x. It's multiplied by your total bet instead of your line bet and triggers the bonus feature.

We gave this Egyptian slot game our 10-spin test using a bet of $5 per spin. This is where we faced disappointment. We didn't have any winning spins in those 10 spins. It took until spin 17 to win a prize of $32. It took to the 37th spin to win 10 free spins with Anubis as our Morphing Symbol leading to a total prize of $507 when they were gone.

The Bonus Features

Three, four, or five Book Scatters lead to the Free Games bonus round. You get 10, 12, or 14 free spins with a random Morphing symbol chosen at the start of the free spins. If the chosen symbol is the Desert Raider Wild, it becomes an expanding wild during all of the free spins.

With three or more additional scatters, 5 free spins are added to the counter. You keep going until you run out of free spins.

Getting Started

The design of Desert Raider slots isn't overly fancy. There are temple doors with the 5-reel, 3-row grid set in front of them. The glowing embers from the fire are probably our favorite part of the design as they seemed real.

Along the bottom of the reels are the game controls, including a button to speed up the reels, the buttons to adjust the bet, and then spin and autoplay. To the left is the "I" button to bring up the paytable.

Place your bet and get started. Bets start at 20 cents (a penny coin value) to $20 ($1 coin value). The max bet of $20 isn't out of reach to most players, so don't be afraid to find your comfort level and then spin the reels on Desert Raider slots.
